Since autumn last year, the green fingered Mid Cheshire Line volunteers have been busying themselves in preparation for the RHS Tatton Flower Show 2024 between the 17th -21st July .
The idea to exhibit at this prestigious horticultural event was the brainchild of rail partnership director and Plumley station volunteer Harry Allen. “The project has united all the volunteers in working towards a common goal and allowed them to use their many and varied skills. Between us we’ve designed the exhibit, nurtured the plants from seed or seedlings and gathered others from our own gardens.”
Not to give away too many spoilers but the display has a travel and music theme which was chosen in celebration of the popular mid Cheshire Line music train events, and will hopefully surprise and delight the thousands of visitors to Tatton this summer.
