On Saturday 9th March Friends of Northwich Station met up to litter pick the station and surrounding areas.
The shrubbery around the Tescoes car park, which shares a boundary with the station, yielded some particularly interesting finds besides the usual plastic wrappers and discarded cigarette butts. These included 3 brand new looking welly boots that were rescued from the bushes and 2 car tires. The group also amassed a mountain of glass bottles which one of them generously offered to take home and put in his recycling bin.
A big thank you to Friends of Northwich Station on helping to keep their town tidy and to Northwich Town Council for collecting the rubbish. And lastly thank you to Lee Siddall who loaned the group his litter picking equipment.
Well done all!
