Enter our fun summer 22 competition! Budding photographers or keen rail travelers you are all welcome. Below is our T&C’s and we’d just like to wish you all good luck!
The competition will run from Monday 25th July and close at midnight on 31st August.
All photographic entries must be taken through the train window – either from a platform or train.
The platform and train must be part of the Mid Cheshire Railway Line. This includes stations running from Manchester to Chester via Altrincham.
Entries taken from a tram window cannot be entered.
The competition is judged in three age groups: 5-11, 12-18, 18 plus
Entries can be posted on your preferred social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok
The following hashtags #throughthetrainwindow and #midcheshirerailway must be used.
The photographs should also be emailed to Sandracurties5@gmail.com with the following details: Name, Email and Age
Competition entries will be judged by amateur and professional photographers (John Horsley and Paul Worpole) and members from the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership.
Winners will be announced no later than Friday 23rd September. The judges’ decision is final.
The competition is open to all except employees and their families of the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership.
The prizes are:
- 2 return West Coast Main Line Tickets (anywhere on the West Coast Mainline) – 18 plus
- 2 return Northern Rail tickets (anywhere on the Northern Network line) – 11-18 years
- Hot drink and cake from Delamere Station Café and 4 Go Ape Vouchers – 5plus
- Each winner will be presented with a certificates
By participating each participant consents to the photograph being used in future social media, on the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership website, publications, and Press Releases.
