No train services.
Monday 26th December 2016
No train services.
Tuesday 27th December 2016
Normal Tuesday service.
Wednesday 28th December 2016
Normal Wednesday service.
Thursday 29th December 2016
Normal Thursday service.
Friday 30th December 2016
Normal Friday service.
Saturday 31st December 2016
Normal Saturday service finishing early.

Sunday 1st January 2017
Normal Sunday service.
The major engineering work at Manchester Oxford Road over Christmas and the New Year will only affect the Mid Cheshire Line service on Sunday 1st January, when trains will only run between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly with onward connections to Oxford Road and stations to Bolton by rail replacement bus.
Train services will operate between Bolton and Southport.
Manchester Area
Check your train if you are travelling beyond Manchester Piccadilly.
Train services in and out of Manchester will be affected at different times, including:
· Weekends until Sunday 11th December
· Between early Sunday 18th December until the last service on Monday 2nd January 2017.
Oxford Road station will be closed on December 27th and 31st and January 1st and 2nd.
Deansgate station will close at 18:00 on Saturdays between 12th November – 17th December and all day on December 27th and 31st and January 1st and 2nd.
All stations will be closed to train services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day as usual.
The Wirral
Merseyrail electrics from Chester will terminate at Birkenhead Central from 3rd January to 12th February.
