The students of Greenbank school have been working at Lostock Gralam every Monday since spring time on an ornamental flower border for the Manchester side platform. Although the work has been tough at times clearing the grassy bank so make a space for the flowers, they`ve been spurred on by the enthusiasm of their teacher Jodie Johnson.
This group enjoyed their last session at the station on Monday 24th June and after breaking for summer will be bound for college in September and a new group of students will continue their fantastic work there.
They`ve done a fantastic job of helping to revive this station which has not seen any volunteer activity for some time.
We wish all the students the best of luck for the future and thanks them for all their hard work!
