Our photography competition returns!! Budding photographers or keen rail travelers you are all welcome. Below is our T&C’s and we’d just like to wish you all good luck!
The competition will run from Monday 24th July and close at midnight on 22nd September.
When you are out and about this summer visiting all the attractions along the Mid Cheshire Line, don’t forget to take a photo – just ensure it is ‘through the train window’.
All ages and abilities welcome and there are some great prizes to be had – Go Ape tickets, Northern Rail tickets and tickets for the West Coast Mainline.
You can take a photo from inside a train (not tram) or from a platform on your smart phone or camera. People, or landscapes just get snapping and get creative!
The competition is judged in three age groups: 5-11, 12-18, 18 plus
Entries can be posted on your preferred social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok
The following hashtags #throughthetrainwindow and #midcheshirerailwayline must be used.
The photographs should also be emailed to sandra.curties@midcheshirerail.org.uk with the following details: Name, Email and Age
Competition entries will be judged by amateur John Horsley and members from the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership.
Winners will be announced no later than Friday 29th September. The judges’ decision is final
The competition is open to all except employees and their families of the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership.
The prizes are:
- 2 return West Coast Main Line Tickets (anywhere on the West Coast Mainline) – 18 plus
- 2 return Northern Rail tickets (anywhere on the Northern Network line) – 11-18 years
- 4 Go Ape Vouchers – 5plus
- Each winner will be presented with a certificate.
By participating each participant consents to the photograph being used in future social media, on Mid Cheshire stations, on the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership website, publications, and Press Releases.
